  • Hutton House Students Joan Benowitz, Nancy Fadem, Carol Giuliani and Roger Pierangelo have repeatedly published their writings in Newsday's My Turn column. They are now branching out to national magazines!
  • Student Roberta Samuels joined the class hoping to complete her memoir, French Lessons. She went on to write three fictional art history mystery novellas, all of which have received wide acclaim including her latest book Vanished! A Valuable African Statue Stolen in Southwest France. 
  • Student Sue Pratt started in Pulitzer's Writing a Chapter From Your Life course, but soon realized she, too, had a memoir in her! How Do You Do, My Name is Sue! Tells the story of losing her husband in the ill-fated Eastern Airlines Flight 401 crash in the Florida Everglades in 1972 that left her a widow with four children. Sue quickly had to reinvent herself to take care of her family at a time where women were just beginning to enter the workforce.
